Wreck-It Ralph

Release: December 26, 2012, Running: 108mins, Rated: PG

Starring: John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer

On a recent trip to the USA, I took in a screening of the new Disney animation – Wreck-It Ralph at the El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. The whole thing was an experience in itself with American-style buttery popcorn and a surprising live show beforehand!

If you're ever in LA, take yourself to a screening of something and have a laugh.

Is it worth seeing?

Once the arcade closes, all the world’s favourite video games come to life and their famous characters game-hop to mingle at ‘Game Central Station’. Wreck-It Ralph (John C. Reilly) is tired of being overshadowed by good-guy Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer), why shouldn’t he be the hero for a change?

Through a set of unfortunate circumstances while trying to change his fate, Ralph gets stuck in candy-racing game ‘Sugar Rush’ and must figure out a way to save the day before a deadly enemy ruins the entire arcade world for his new friends.

This animated adventure from Disney is a fun Boxing Day treat for everyone. The characters and their in-jokes will stir fond memories for older generations and the music and adventure will satisfy the kids. Just don’t ask where Mario and Luigi are.

Which holiday release are you most excited to see this year?
