Starring: Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi
Hotel Transylvania is Count Dracula's (Adam Sandler) five-stake resort and refuge for monsters, hidden away where no horrible human could ever find it. That is, until unsuspecting backpacker Jonathan (Andy Samberg) stumbles upon it and captures the attention of the Count's daughter, Mavis (Selena Gomez).
For a film aimed primarily at kids, it is really enjoyable for all ages. There are more than a few belly-laughs to be had at the expense of Dracula's monster friends voiced by Kevin James, Steve Buscemi, Fran Drescher and David Spade.
Samberg is brilliant as the stereotypical backpacker, quipping that he can't be separated from his backpack because everything he owns is in there. Fellow travellers will get all the subtle, spot-on references to hostel living and life on the adventure trail.
